“Voice of War: veterans’ stories”

“Voice of War: veterans’ stories” is a book of stories and essays written by 22 veterans of the war in the ongoing war in the Eastern Ukraine. The idea of the publication is to give an opportunity for soldiers to share their experience, so that society could hear their voices, without manipulations. The book is an outcome of a literary school, in which veterans had an opportunity to talk to prominent Ukrainian writers, journalists and bloggers, to write their own texts and discuss them.

The project was fulfilled by Internews Ukraine with financial support of Canadian government through Department of Global Affairs Canada and International Renaissance Foundation.

  • Interview 5 veterans, whose stories are featured in the book;
  • Create a short documentary on the basis of interviews for presenting the book in Ukraine and other countries.
